"Dear Mr. Kindred:
I think that the students are planning on getting in touch with you. So, I'll speak for myself. I would like to thank you for taking the time to come to our school to speak to our secondary students about the dangers of drinking and driving. You certainly held their rapt attention for an hour. But it was the reaction after that hour that was so heartening. Students commented on the impact that the assembly had on them; many have sworn never to drink and drive, many others have sworn never to drink all! One student told me right after the presentation, that it was “the best assembly that our school has ever had! We should have more like it”!

I know that the president of the students Council is still hearing from his peers about how your message has influenced them.

The most important thing is that all of our students returned safely to us after the May long weekend. I would like to thank you for any part that you may have played in enabling that to happen."

"In Rocanville, we took Wilson Kindred into our high school. He presented a highly welcomed Anti-drinking presentation to over 160 students from grades 7 to 12. Our students have quite a drinking problem like so many across the country. In grade 8, it is part of their initiation rites. The crowd paid apt attention throughout Wilson’s sharing from his personal twenty-five years of experience as a paramedic. Many of the students were emotionally moved, and it was obvious that all were captivated by Wilson's gift as a presenter and by his obvious love and concern for teens.

Many of the teachers complimented Wilson on his presentation following the program. They commented on his exceptional presentation methods, and his grasp of this current problem in our schools.

Our school, teachers, and I would highly recommend Wilson for this extremely powerful and effective presentation."

"Dear Mr. Kindred:
I would like to thank you for coming to our school and speaking with our students. Your anti-drinking and driving presentation made quite an impression on both our students and staff.

We are now a month and a half removed from the presentation but people are still speaking of the imagery that they have of you talking about arriving at the crash scene of a group of high school students on prom night. People have said that they sensed that they were with you during the rescue attempt and it is almost as if they were their memories of being there when they talk about the presentation.

You have definitely opened some eyes in our school and at the same time brought back some difficult memories of an accident that has happened in our community a few years ago. Hopefully this will help students make smart decisions.

I would highly recommend this presentation to all schools because it makes the students uncomfortable about this situation and we need to do this for students, so that they can make good decisions before it is too late."

Hey! It's Jamie Sloane!

You did an ‘Anti-Drinking & Driving Assembly' at my school, the Bruce Peninsula District School. The assembly had a great impact. The night of the assembly, I was at a party and I had to take my friend Cara, home. As I was driving her home, I noticed three kids on the side of the road. One of them had alcohol poisoning and the other two were severely intoxicated. I had to drive one of them to the hospital. The other two, as intoxicated as they were, wouldn't get in a vehicle until my other friend Kyle, explained to them that I had not been drinking. They were very set on not getting in the vehicle and not taking the chance.

Also, I have heard many kids talking about it and they have all said the same thing. They have said that they will not drink and drive.

I just wanted to say thank you. You did a great job!
